Have you viewed the new PokerPro hold’em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about two weeks ago when I took a brief holiday with my parents to the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma.
As I waited for my turn to be called at the live tables, I noticed how the other people at the PokerPro tables interacted with one another. It was fairly interesting to say the least. Because the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that discovered this, except I did notice the players in the table had a lifeless quality to them. The cause of this may well be since there was no human conversation with the croupier, the ambiance was rather dull and the gamblers looked bored stiff. It was nearly as if I was viewing a live variant of an internet based hold’em poker room instead of being seated with warm blooded humans. It was a tiny bit creepy and I kept flashing back to a show of Star trek and the holodeck broke down.
Since the waiting time for the stay tables was over an hour, I made the decision to see how the casino game play was and to encounter this new hold’em poker gaming technology. Following wagering a few hands, I genuinely felt like I was playing at home. The lack of activity in the table was the primary reason. I prefer to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those things are possible at these computer tables.
Another thing I discovered was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a lot of hands at the PokerPro table and discovered that the play was a whole lot like a web based holdem poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, except I discovered it to become very odd.
Soon after wagering a few rounds with this "unique hold’em poker technology", I determined that the PokerPro tables had been not for me. I’m far better off wagering texas hold em poker on the internet at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den have been to obtain rid of the live poker tables, I think they would shed a good deal of players.
