Poker Aces refers to two aces being dealt pre-flop. It’s the strongest possible pre-flop hand inholdem Poker. But despite this a good many bettors end up on the wrong end when given these cards.
When you are dealt a pair of Aces, you just don’t drop out before theflop. You are sitting with the best possible hand at this part of the game. So how do you wager with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I would say no to that.
Remember, you are trying to acquire as much profit out of this strong position. You need to maximize the opportunity. Going all-in will merely drive most competitors into folding and not placing a bet.
If you’re in the initial seat (1st or 2nd to actually bet), you will lay a single bet. Any player with decent cards will call, hopefully someone will raise. If someone has made a raise don’t spring to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
After the flop your course of action will be to eliminate any player that might be able to build a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you’re fortunate you’ll fool 1 player into believing that you are faking it.
If you are in the middle or later spot (near the last to cast a bet) you’ll watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avert a show-down. Guard your hand by forcing others to drop out following the flop. If you do not get rid of your adversaries you risk squandering your hand.
