Internet poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier declares "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers are given five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to either make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is equal to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager is the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus an amount on par with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pays money equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
